Tuesday Morning, April 13. Lecturer, Bill Alexander
9:30-10:15: Introduction to Olmsted’s vision and recommended Master Plan for Biltmore.

10:30-11:15: Design and Implementation of major divisions of the Plan: The Approach Road: The Home Grounds; The Gardens; The Deer Park; The Lake.

11:30-12:30: Design and Implementation (cont.): Pleasure Drives; Arboretum; Nursery and Herbarium; Model Forest and the Biltmore Forest School; Agriculture; Biltmore Village.

Wednesday Morning, April 14. Grounds Tour, Bill Alexander.
9:30-12:30: Viewing of the above areas in their present mature state (except Biltmore Village). Discussion of the Restoration and Management of the areas visited, the continuing legacies of forestry and agriculture, and other aspects of maintaining a privately-owned and profitable, working estate which is open to the public.

Note: Afternoon Activities. Length of stay tickets for Biltmore House allow free entry to Biltmore House throughout the House Party and the 25th annual Festival of Flowers will be ongoing during this time. The Inn has just opened a luxurious new spa as well as the new "Antler Hill Village" for shopping and dining. Two golf courses are available nearby, as well as a number of special activities such as bicycling, segway tours, skeet shooting, fly fishing, horseback riding, etc. - all at an additional charge. There are very pleasant hiking trails, also, for which there is no usage charge.
